I became Director of the ONE service in July 2010. This was a tremendous privilege for me, given the unique and pioneering nature of this service. While this pilot is undoubtedly a challenge, I am lucky to have an excellent team of colleagues who will be working with me to ensure its success.
Since joining, I have met a wide range of statutory and voluntary sector agencies who are just as keen to see the pilot succeed and I have been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of local partners.
We would not be able to deliver the ONE service without the co-operation of Sodexo who manage HMP Peterborough and I am grateful for the support of their management team and staff. I am keen to involve participants in designing the service and we are fortunate to have the help of Connections peer advisers in providing advice and guidance to other prisoners.
I am really looking forward to the next few years and the new relationships that will be forged. If you want to work with us in reducing re-offending amongst short sentenced prisoners from HMP Peterborough or you have some new ideas then please get in touch.
